Navigation for Life — Redefining In-Car Exploration for Tencent SUIXING 2.0
Background
Reimagine how in-car navigation evolves from a passive route planner into an active lifestyle companion. Within Tencent’s CSIG initiative, I aimed to transform navigation into a living ecosystem that connects users, interests, and mobility — encouraging safer driving while inspiring spontaneous discovery and social engagement.
What I Led
-
Designed the “Navigation for Life” concept, repositioning navigation as a platform for emotional connection and exploration.
-
Built the User–Business–Wireframe framework — a system-thinking model that aligns user needs, business value, and design structure — to guide product definition and decision-making.
-
Translated complex data relationships into intuitive interaction flows, enabling users to discover places they love, follow communities, and share travel stories directly from the in-car interface.
-
Introduced interactive discovery cards, adaptive POIs, and game-like engagement mechanisms to make navigation both meaningful and playful.
Collaborate with product managers to integrate social logic, community-driven exploration, and AI-powered personalization, ensuring safety and simplicity within the driving context.
Outcomes & Impact
-
Delivered a new paradigm for Tencent’s in-car experience, merging mobility, data, and emotion.
-
Gained leadership recognition after internal reviews and executive presentations.
-
Filed two patents (design and invention) for UI and interaction innovation, proving the system’s originality and future potential.
This project transforms navigation into an experience of social discovery. Empower users to move from “where to go” toward “how to live.” Demonstrate how system thinking and emotional interaction can redefine the mobility experience.
